Transformation

Better ways of working, designed with your people and built to last.

We build the case for change, map how work happens today, remove the waste and friction and design how it should work. We assess your AI readiness, help you choose and automate the right tools, without ties to any vendor, and lead the change with your people until the new way becomes habit.

What clients say

When I joined CPX, one of the priorities was building and strengthening our Talent Acquisition capability. Nick played an instrumental role in making that successful, supporting us in hiring more than 70 employees within just nine months.

What we can help you change

What is your business trying to achieve, and what is getting in the way? We’ll shape an agenda around your goals, align your leaders behind it, and put the right specialists and a project leader in place to make it happen.

People and organisation design

Operating model, structure, roles and decision rights, workforce planning, policies, performance and reward.

Talent acquisition

Hiring strategy, workforce planning, recruitment processes, employer brand, assessment and onboarding.

Process

Map the as-is, find the waste and friction, and design a simpler to-be with clear ownership and handovers.

Technology

Vendor-neutral selection of HR, recruitment and workflow systems, then set-up, data migration and reporting.

Automation

Automate repeated steps such as approvals, interview scheduling, onboarding tasks, CRM updates and reports.

Sales CRM

Set up or rebuild your CRM, pipeline stages and reporting, and the habits that keep the data accurate.

AI readiness

Find where AI can help, and whether your data, systems, people and policies are ready for it.

Change and adoption

The case for change, stakeholders, champions, communication, training and the routines that make change last.

Signs it may be time

  • Growth has outpaced your structure: roles overlap, decisions are slow and managers are stretched.
  • Hiring is inconsistent: each team recruits differently, recruiting capability is limited, old habits resist change, and great candidates are lost to a poor experience.
  • Work is done twice: people re-enter the same data, chase approvals and keep their own spreadsheets. Salesforce’s State of Sales research finds sales reps spend 60% of their time on non-selling tasks.
  • Customer response is slow: enquiries go unanswered, follow-ups are missed, and nobody can see where each deal stands or measure response times and conversion. Speed matters: firms that respond within an hour are nearly seven times as likely to reach a decision-maker as those that wait even an hour longer (Harvard Business Review).
  • A merger, restructure or new market: you need to redesign how teams work, quickly and carefully.

Start with the case for change

Change stalls when leaders are not agreed on why it matters. Before anything is redesigned, we help you set out the case for change in plain terms, so your leadership team can decide with confidence.

  • The problem, with evidence: what is happening today and what it is costing in time, money, hires and sales.
  • The cost of doing nothing: what happens if things stay as they are.
  • The future you are aiming for: how work will run, and how you will know it is working.
  • Investment, risks and benefits: what it takes, what could go wrong and what you gain.

We turn this into a leadership deck for your board or executive team, and a simpler version that managers can use to explain the change to their teams.

Design the organisation

Structure should follow strategy. We help you design an organisation that can deliver your plans, with clear roles and decisions, and move your people into it fairly.

  • Operating model: how HR, talent acquisition, sales and operations work together, and which work is centralised, shared or kept in each team.
  • Structure, layers and spans: reporting lines, management layers and team sizes that remove duplication, gaps and bottlenecks.
  • Roles and decision rights: clear role profiles and accountabilities, and who decides, who is consulted and who is informed.
  • Capabilities and workforce planning: the skills you need now and in the next few years, and whether to hire, develop or bring in fractional expertise.
  • Job levels and career paths: consistent levels, career paths and reward that fit the new structure.
  • Transition: a fair selection and communication plan, with the right employment advice, so people are treated with respect throughout.

Assess your AI readiness

Before you invest in AI tools, find out where AI can genuinely help and what needs to be in place first. The assessment can run on its own or as part of a wider transformation.

  • Opportunities: where AI could save time or improve decisions in HR, hiring, operations and sales, ranked by value and effort.
  • Data: whether your data is complete, accurate and accessible enough to use.
  • Systems: AI features in your current tools that you are not using yet, and how new tools would connect.
  • People and skills: how confident your teams are with AI, and the training they need.
  • Governance and risk: confidentiality, data protection, fairness in people decisions and human oversight, with the policies and approvals you need.
  • Roadmap: a prioritised plan with quick wins and longer-term steps.

Our approach

Six stages, agreed with you at the start and reviewed at each milestone.

  1. Step 1

    Build the case for change

Agree with key stakeholders why change is needed, the goal and how success will be measured.

  2. Step 2

    Map the as-is

See how work really happens and find the waste and friction.

  3. Step 3

    Design the to-be

A simpler process with clear roles, designed with the people who do the work.

  4. Step 4

    Choose the technology

Vendor-neutral options, including AI, compared against your needs and budget.

  5. Step 5

    Implement and automate

Set up systems, move data and automate agreed steps, in stages.

  6. Step 6

    Train and embed

Train your people, build new habits and measure adoption.

Transformation can run as a defined project, a fractional leader who guides the change over time, or embedded specialists who work inside your team. We’ll recommend the right arrangement.

Leading the change

New systems and processes only pay off when people use them every day. We follow a proven change process and plan for adoption from the start.

  • Create urgency: share the case for change so people understand why things need to change, and why now.
  • Appoint a sponsor and guiding team: a senior sponsor who owns the change and a small team of leaders who steer it.
  • Involve key stakeholders in decisions: map who is affected, and involve them in designing the new process and choosing the technology, so they own the result.
  • Create champions: named champions in each team, involved and trained early, who support colleagues and feed back what is and is not working.
  • Communicate the vision: clear, repeated messages about what is changing, why, and what it means for each team, from leaders and line managers.
  • Remove barriers: listen for concerns and resistance early, and fix the processes, systems or workloads that get in the way.
  • Deliver quick wins: visible early improvements that build confidence and momentum.
  • Train: role-based sessions, short guides and how-to material, in person or online, with refreshers after go-live.
  • Build habits: small, regular routines such as weekly pipeline reviews, hiring huddles and data checks, with prompts built into the tools so the new way becomes the normal way.
  • Measure and reinforce: track adoption and the agreed measures, recognise good practice, report to leadership, and build the new way into policies, onboarding and performance reviews.

Common questions

Why map the process before choosing technology?

Automating a poor process only makes the problems happen faster. Fixing the process first means you buy only what you need and your team uses it.

What does vendor-neutral mean?

We recommend the option that fits your requirements, budget and existing systems, not a particular product.

How do you make sure people actually use the new way of working?

By involving key stakeholders in the decisions, creating champions in each team, training people for their roles, building simple routines that become habits and measuring whether adoption is happening.

Can we start with the AI readiness assessment on its own?

Yes. It shows where AI can help, what needs to be in place first and where to start.

Do we need to change everything at once?

No. Most businesses start with the area causing the most difficulty and connect the others later. We’ll help you decide the order.

Do you replace our existing systems?

Only when that is the right answer. Often the better step is to improve how your current systems are set up and used.

Who does the work?

Experienced specialists selected by Hyring for your needs, with a project leader who manages the delivery and impact end to end. Hyring agrees the scope with you and follows progress throughout.

What needs to change in your business?
