about hyring

The value sat with the individual.
The margin sat with the agency.

Hyring is a tech-led marketplace that connects organisations with vetted human capital professionals, on demand. It was built in the UAE by people who had spent their careers inside the hiring process, and who kept watching the same thing go wrong from the inside.

What we kept seeing

An enterprise client signs with a recruitment agency. The fee is 20 to 30 percent of first-year salary. Across a large hiring programme that runs into the millions.

The actual work is done by one or two individual recruiters. They are good. They are the reason the roles get filled. The client did not choose them, often never meets the wider team behind the logo, and has no say in who is assigned or whether that person stays on the account next quarter.

So the outcome depends almost entirely on one variable, and that variable is the one thing the client has no control over. Meanwhile the recruiter doing the work keeps a fraction of the fee their work generated.

Everybody in recruitment knows this. Very little in the market was built to fix it.

The founding question

If your result depends on which specific person works your assignment, why can you not choose that person, deal with them directly, and pay for their time rather than a share of somebody's salary?

That is the whole of Hyring. Put the choice back in the client's hands. Keep the specialist's earnings with the specialist. Remove the percentage-of-salary structure that made a routine hire cost as much as a car.

the gap we found

Three gaps, and Hyring sits in the middle of all of them.

This is not a general complaint about recruitment. These are three specific, structural holes in the market, and they compound each other.

the missing middle

Nothing between an agency and a permanent hire

A company hiring five to fifteen people a year is too small to justify a permanent talent function and too price-sensitive to hand every role to an agency. Nothing served that middle properly, so those companies either overpaid or the founder did it themselves, badly.

unstructured supply

Excellent independents, no trusted route to them

Experienced recruiters, human capital partners, employee relations specialists, coaches and organisation designers have gone independent in large numbers. But clients could not tell a genuinely excellent independent from a confident profile, so most defaulted back to agencies out of caution. Good supply, no trust layer.

the ignored region

The GCC was an afterthought

The comparable platforms globally are built for United States technology hiring. They have effectively no presence in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, and no understanding of nationalisation targets, local labour frameworks, or how hiring actually happens in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. That is the market we built for first.

what we believe

Four positions we are not going to move off.

You should choose who works your assignment

The individual is the variable that determines your outcome. Handing that choice to a supplier and hoping is not a model, it is a habit. On Hyring you see who you are getting, and why we picked them.

Technology matches. People are accountable

The platform reads every brief against the whole bench, because consistency at scale is a technology problem. The Hyring team vets every specialist before they join it and checks every match before it goes out. The recruiter then owns the candidate shortlist and answers for it, because judgement is not a technology problem.

The risk should sit with us

If we do not deliver, you get your money back in full. Retained search elsewhere takes money up front that you do not see again, which puts the cost of failure on the client who has the least control over it.

The specialist should keep what they earn

A recruiter who builds the relationship, runs the search and closes the hire should not be handing over most of the fee. Independents keep the majority of theirs here, which is precisely why the good ones join.

where we are now

Early, and delivering.

We are not going to dress up an early-stage company as a mature one. Here is the position, stated plainly.

The technology does the matching. We do the vetting.

The platform reads every brief against the entire bench and finds the match, which is work no person can do consistently at volume. What the Hyring team does is the part that actually protects the client: vetting every specialist before they reach the bench, and checking every match before it reaches you. The recruiter then owns the candidate shortlist and puts their name to it. As volume grows the matching gets better, because every completed assignment feeds it. The vetting standard and the human sign-off do not move. If we ever quietly drop those, we will have become the thing we were built to replace.

the people behind it

Practitioners, not platform tourists.

Hyring is run by people who have carried hiring targets themselves, in this region, including onsite delivery on the enterprise programmes described in our case studies.

common questions

About the company

How did Hyring start?

Hyring was started by recruitment practitioners in the UAE who kept seeing the same pattern from the inside: an enterprise client paying an agency 20 to 30 percent of first-year salary per hire, running into millions across a large programme, while the actual work was done by one or two individual recruiters the client never chose and often never met. The value sat with the individual and the margin sat with the agency, while the client carried both the cost and the risk. Hyring was built to put the choice of specialist back in the client's hands, keep the specialist's earnings with the specialist, and remove the percentage-of-salary fee structure.

Where is Hyring based?

Hyring is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, working across Abu Dhabi and Dubai as its home markets. Abu Dhabi is where our largest enterprise delivery has taken place. From there we serve the wider GCC, including Saudi Arabia, and place specialists into and out of more than 50 countries.

Who actually owns Hyring, and does that affect who you recommend?

Hyring is independently owned and is not part of, funded by or contracted to a recruitment agency group. We do not run a preferred supplier list that pays for placement, and no specialist can buy a better position on your shortlist. Our commercial outcome is the same whichever vetted specialist you choose, which is what makes the recommendation worth listening to.

where the work runs

One bench, every GCC market.

The same vantage point in every city, because the work looks the same from the desk it is done at. Abu Dhabi is home; the bench works across the region.
